RE: What is the most spectacular view you've ever seen?

The view of Mount McKinley Alaska as we were on the road going into the park and the clouds opened up. Everyone around just gasped.

RE: packing a roadtrip grill

Waynesville
I cannot believe all of the negative comments. I bought mine three years ago and love it. I have the blue unit which is the one that you put water in the drip pan. It cooks evenly even with the solid center which everyone mentions. It cleans up very easily which means no odor or greese in the storage area. I am planning to buy a back up unit for when mine wears out just in case they stop making it. I do not wrap it up or theat it with special care. Of course I am carful to not scratch the cooking surfaces.

RE: Allegro Bay dog house cover

Joyden
In your manual is the phone number for Tiffens office in Red Bay Alabama. Feel free to call them with any questions that you might have. They are very patient and understanding and will talk you through anything. If you ever need a part all you need to do is discribe it and they will send it to you. They are all about service.

RE: Need a part for entry door

Pappaone
I broke mine a few months ago and went to Camping World. They have them in plastic and medal. The plastic unit comes in two lengths. You do not need to change out the entire unit which is something that you don't want to do because yours is probably painted and you don't want to drill additional holes. When you buy the bracket all that you need to use is the arm as the replacement should work in your existing base plate.

RE: Dan Gamel RV Closing

It is not only Fleetwood. All manufacturers business is down. Several have already closed their doors. It was on the news the other day that Winabegos last quarter profits were down 73%. They still made $3M. Sales will be bad as long as the gas prices are so high. At this point if gas does not come down only the true RV lovers like ourselves will be left. Many of the current manufacturers will be gone and only the strong will survive. Hopefully they will be the best manufacturers.

RE: A better way to direct TV

We have had Direct TV for three years with no problem. We have it set up as an extension of our home unit. If you do not use it for a month or two you have to reactivate the unit. All you have to do is call and tell them to reactivate the unit which they do while you are on the phone. About a year ago they downloaded a new programming package which your reciever had to be on to recieve. We went camping on a holidfay weekend to learn that we could not locate the salite without the new package. They sent a service man to our remote campsite from 90 miles away for no charge. It does not get any better then that

RE: Onan 7000

Do you have more then 1/4 tank of fuel. Most RVs are set to turn off the generastor when the fuel tank is down to 1/4 tank?

RE: Treemont Hills Outdoor Resort/ Townsend TN

Thanks Cindik. The one advantage we do see is 50 amps. That's a real plus for a coach at the height of the summer. Provided the sites are not too close, I think it will work just fine. I do hope the water/sewer connections are better located than Section A.
Thanks again

Tremont Hills Campground - improvements

Bob and I have camped at Tremont Hills Campground in Townsend TN several times and have loved it. We didn't have a chance to go in the past 2 years but are going this summer. We have booked a site and are curious as to the improvements made to the campground. Section B is now 50 amp and full hookups. We are booked on a river site in Section B. We know this section was mostly tent and pop ups previously. It is a pretty area.
Can anyone tell us about section B? Is the space between sights more or less then what the original section had?
Thanks

RE: Anyone else having multiple things break in an 04 Endeavor

Was there a recent thunder lighning storm? We had that happen to us several years ago. We found that the awning would not extend. we then found numerous other electrical problems including the rear heat pump. We learned that lightening struck in the campground causing the problems.

RE: Opinions & information needed - Tiffin Allegro Bay

We really have enjoyed ours. They really back the product. Any problem that we have ever had they repaired without any questions. We will buy another Tiffin product when it is time for us to trade.

RE: Bike Racks - Ladder Mounted

We have always used a ladder rack and have never had a problem with it. We carry two bikes. Our tire is mounted on the back door of our toad which swings open. If we had a hitch rack the bikes would be in the way.
